Crystal Cove State Park – El Moro Mobile Home Park Conversion

,

4LEAF provided construction management and inspection services for this high profile project that transformed a beach trailer park into the new El Moro Campground. The 35-acre project site is located within the 2,791 acre Crystal Cove State Park and on one of the last undeveloped stretches of the Orange County coastline. El Moro now rivals Doheny and Bolsa Chica Parks with striking ocean views and beach accessibility. El Moro State Park includes 60 camp sites for both RV and tent camping on the coastal bluff overlooking the beach and Pacific Coast Highway, and 250 day use parking spaces.

The project consisted of demolition, construction and landscape restoration work, demolition of the existing office and maintenance buildings, ancillary improvements, paved roadways, and shoreline protective devices. The construction work involved the construction of an entrance station, lifeguard station, amphitheater, campgrounds, public amenities, parking lots, utility upgrade, water quality improvement, trail improvements, and off-site road improvements.   The landscape restoration work entailed fine grading and revegetation of disturbed or impacted areas within the site.
