Calaveras County Adult Detention Facility and Sheriff’s Administrative Building

4LEAF performed Inspector of Record services on behalf of Calaveras County and Kitchell CEM for the $80 million New Adult Detention Facility and Sheriffs Administration Building. This project included construction of three new buildings totaling approximately 130,000 sq. ft. along with associated on-site and off-site improvements. On-site work included performing site grading and constructing utility infrastructure, parking, roadways, sidewalks, fencing, landscaping and other improvements of the approximately 11.47-acre building site. Off-site improvements include construction of a new access roadway, existing roadway improvements and off-site utility improvements required for the project. Building construction consisted of a new 41,485 sq. ft. Type II-B, Essential Services Sheriff’s Administration Building; a new 76,537 sq. ft. Type I-B Adult Detention Facility; and a new 12,035 sq. ft. Type I-B Dormitory Building.
