Following the devastating 2021 Almeda and South Obenchain Fires, Jackson County selected 4LEAF to manage and staff its comprehensive Wildfire Recovery Program. Operating in close collaboration with County development staff, 4LEAF established and staffed the dedicated Wildfire Resiliency Permit Center (WRPC) to serve as a vital on-site resource hub for residents in unincorporated areas who lost or suffered damage to their properties. To accelerate safe rebuilding across the region’s structured recovery strategy—spanning cleanup, planning and permitting, and construction—4LEAF deployed specialized personnel to streamline administrative workflows and technical processing. Core services delivered by 4LEAF include the implementation of permit center infrastructure designed to fast-track planning and building permits, assist applicants visiting the WRPC, and handle a high volume of wildfire-related inquiries via phone, email, and in-person counter consultations. Furthermore, the team provides rigorous building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing plan checks alongside field inspections to ensure full regulatory compliance for wildfire rebuilds, while offering expert planning support to remove barriers to redevelopment, optimize residential and commercial densities, and expand housing opportunities across the affected communities.
